Lighting Upgrade at Waggoner Park in Tullahoma

Tullahoma Parks and Recreation and The Tullahoma Utilities Authority (TUA) are excited to announce the successful completion of the lighting installation on Field 3 at Waggoner Park. This enhancement marks a milestone in improving the community's recreational facilities, offering residents extended opportunities for evening sports and recreational activities.

The newly installed lights on Waggoner 3 are now operational, providing a well-lit environment that extends the field's usability beyond daylight hours. This upgrade meets the increasing demand for sports facilities within the community, allowing Tullahoma's sports leagues and visiting tournaments to schedule more games and practices.

“We are incredibly excited about the new lighting at Waggoner Park,” said JP Kraft, Director of Tullahoma Parks and Recreation. “This improvement allows us to offer extended hours for sports and recreational activities, providing more opportunities for families and individuals to engage in healthy, active lifestyles.  It’s an investment that will benefit the community for years to come.”

Allen Potter, President of TUA, added, “We are proud to provide this service to the City of Tullahoma.  We believe in the power of collaboration and community spirit, and we recognize that we are not only enhancing the facilities for our local athletes but also promoting a sense of unity and shared purpose. This initiative is an excellent example of how working together can bring about positive change and improve the quality of life for everyone in Tullahoma.”

The successful completion of this project is a testament to the dedication and collaboration between TUA and Tullahoma Parks and Recreation. Both organizations are committed to continually improving the quality of life for Tullahoma residents through investments like this.  By working together, TUA and Tullahoma Parks and Recreation demonstrate how collaborative efforts can lead to meaningful and lasting improvements in our community.
