Motlow State Community College-McMinnville is proud to announce the beginning of a new partnership with the Culinary Arts program at Warren County High School. WCHS’s culinary students baked cookies as giveaways at the McMinnville ARTC Expansion Opening event as well as prepared an excellent breakfast for the McMinnville campus’s legislative briefing.
Linda Parris (middle) has been leading the culinary arts program at WCHS for the past year and a half and has 26 years of prior high school culinary education experience. She recently led her Warren County students to the TN ProStart Competition and TN Jr. Chef, the latter of which they won. Within the next few months, Parris and her students will be taking their new food truck Pioneer Kitchen on the Go throughout the Warren County community.
Pictured with Linda Parris are senior culinary students Venus Almaguer and Bree Whittmore who assisted in the preparation of the food served. Motlow State hopes this will lead to additional opportunities to partner with K-12 students and support education in surrounding communities.
