While Motlow State looks for ways to benefit the 11 counties it services, the College is only able to thrive through the generosity of those communities. Middle Tennessee Natural Gas (MTNG) recently made a contribution that will expand the Automation and Robotics Center’s offerings to students and give students in McMinnville additional opportunities.
MTNG’s Project Hometown Help Program is an initiative they began to provide financial support throughout Middle Tennessee. Customers can round up their monthly bill to the nearest whole dollar, and each contribution is used to advance education, assist economic development, promote local charities, and offer relief to disabled/elderly customers who may struggle to pay their gas bills.
ARTC Director Larry Flatt applied to receive educational assistance and was given a $5,000 donation from MTNG to pay for AI Cameras that will be used to offer an AI/Smart Camera industry certification at the ARTC in the automation and controls sector.
Thank you to MTNG for supporting education and for helping Motlow State purchase the resources necessary to offer more credentials to students.
