Music City Kartplex Breaks Ground in Shelbyville: Tennessee's First High-Speed Karting Facility Set to Open in October

Music City Kartplex in Shelbyville says construction of Phase 1 is underway with crews hard at work building a state-of-the-art, high-speed karting facility, and the first of its kind in Tennessee. The half-mile track will open in October with 33 high speed rental go-karts traveling at speeds up to 50 miles per hour, incorporating the highest level of safety, including roll bars and safety harnesses. The company says the 34-acre complex will welcome amateur and competitive kart racers alike. Racers aged 12 and up, and at least 58 inches tall, can enjoy the thrill of intense, side-by-side racing. The track is located at 3225 Hwy. 231 North in Shelbyville.
