New Scam Reported by Coffee County Sheriff's Office

MANCHESTER, TN (April 23, 2025) – The Coffee County Sheriff's Office is alerting residents to a scam involving a company soliciting advertisements for a department calendar. The Sheriff's Office has confirmed that these calls are fraudulent and that they have not authorized anyone to solicit on their behalf.


According to the Sheriff's Office, there has been an increase in scams using the names of law enforcement agencies in the area. They emphasize that law enforcement will never call to solicit money. If you receive a call from someone claiming to represent the Sheriff's Office and requesting payment, it is a scam.


The Sheriff's Office advises residents to take the following precautions:


Do not provide any personal or financial information to the caller.

Hang up immediately.

Report the incident to your local law enforcement agency.

The Coffee County Sheriff's Office urges residents to be vigilant and to share this information with friends and family to prevent them from becoming victims of this scam.
