One person was flown to a burn unit after being injured in a Franklin County fire Saturday afternoon. Units were dispatched shortly after 2 p.m. on Saturday to a possible structure fire in the Keith Springs Mountain Road area called in by an airplane pilot flying overhead. When crews arrived at the scene, they found a structure on fire, as well as a person with “minor to severe burns.” Priority EMS responded to the sceneand conducted an airlift of the victim. Keith Springs Volunteer Fire Department said its crews — along with members of the Fourth District Volunteer Fire Department, the Belvidere Volunteer Fire Department, the Winchester Fire Department, and Decherd Fire and Rescue — worked to suppress the fire.
