Tims Ford State Park to Host Falls Mill History Presentation

Tims Ford State Park invites visitors to the Nature Center on March 15 at 1:30 PM for an engaging PowerPoint presentation on the importance of water power, sustainability, and the rich history of Falls Mill. Established in 1873, Falls Mill celebrates its 152nd anniversary this year, making it a significant historical landmark.

The presentation will be led by John and Janie Lovett, owners of Falls Mill since 1984. John, who holds a Ph.D. and previously taught Industrial Engineering, and Janie, who has a B.A. in Anthropology, will provide an exciting and informative look into the mill’s history and its role in sustainable energy.

This event is open to all ages, making it a great opportunity for families, history enthusiasts, and those interested in environmental sustainability to learn more about Tennessee’s industrial past. Donations will be accepted to support the Tims Ford Nature Center.
