Tims Ford State Park is seeking community input on an upcoming project to build a new accessible playground. The park is applying for $300,000 in Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) grant funds, which will be matched by park funds, to support the playground’s construction.
To engage the public, the park will host two meetings where residents can share their support or concerns. A virtual meeting is scheduled for March 24th from 5:30-6:30 PM (contact the park office for the meeting link). For those who prefer to attend in person, a public meeting will take place on March 25th from 5:30-6:30 PM at Spencer Hall in the park.
Officials encourage residents to participate and provide feedback on the project, which aims to create a more inclusive space for children of all abilities. For more information, contact Tims Ford State Park.
