CG Model Tek Expands to Coffee County, Investing $4.5 Million and Creating 32 Jobs
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, alongside Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD) Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter and CG Model Tek LLC officials, announced today that the company will expand its manufacturing operations to Coffee County.
As part of the expansion, CG Model Tek will invest $4.5 million and create 32 new jobs in the region. The company is acquiring the assets of Micro Craft, a well-established Tullahoma-based firm known for its work in the aerospace and defense industry. CG Model Tek will continue in the same line of production, strengthening Tennessee’s role in these high-tech sectors.
“We are proud to see businesses like CG Model Tek choose Tennessee for their growth,” said Governor Lee. “This expansion will not only create new jobs but also build upon our state’s strong foundation in aerospace and advanced manufacturing.”
TNECD has been instrumental in fostering economic growth across Southern Middle Tennessee. Since 2020, the department has supported 77 economic development projects, leading to nearly 10,000 new job commitments and more than $6 billion in capital investments.
Local officials and economic leaders celebrated the announcement, recognizing the long-term impact CG Model Tek’s investment will have on Coffee County’s workforce and economy. The company’s expansion solidifies the region’s reputation as a key player in the aerospace and defense manufacturing industry.
