In Bedford County, the traffic pattern will change at the El Bethel Convenience and Recycling Center on Unionville Highway (U.S. 41-A), starting Monday. The current entrance will become the exit and vice versa. Bedford County Highway Superintendent Mark Clanton said the change is being made to help keep traffic from backing up onto the highway, especially on busy days such as the first open day after a holiday. The new configuration will allow more room for cars to line up safely in the center, which Clanton said will be more efficient and safer.
