Tullahoma built a one-point lead in the opening quarter and withstood multiple rallies by Coffee County before holding off the Red Raiders, 43-39, on Friday night at the Joe Frank Patch Memorial Gymnasium.
In a thrilling back-and-forth battle, Tullahoma edged out Coffee County in a game that kept fans on the edge of their seats. The Wildcats struck first, ending the opening quarter with a narrow 10-9 lead over the Red Raiders.
Coffee County responded in the second quarter, finding their rhythm to flip the script and take a slim 19-17 lead into halftime. The game remained tight in the third, with the Red Raiders maintaining their momentum to hold a 29-26 advantage heading into the final quarter.
The fourth quarter was a spectacle of high-intensity basketball as both teams traded clutch plays and critical buckets. With the game hanging in the balance, the Wildcats found an extra gear in the closing seconds, eking out a hard-fought 43-39 victory over Coffee County.
Cortland Farrar and Brady Wright led the Red Raiders' offensive efforts, scoring nine points. MJ Rollman added eight, while Cayden Trail delivered seven points in key moments, earning the Dr. James Van Winkle Player of the Game award for his impact in crucial situations. Coffee County will return to action on Friday, Dec. 7, as they host York Institute, with the girl's game tipping off at 6 P.M. and the boy's contest to follow at 4:30 P.M.
