Tullahoma Utilities Authority (TUA) and Tullahoma City Schools are proud to announce a new partnership designed to enhance educational opportunities and promote workforce development within the Tullahoma community.
Recognizing the vital role that education plays in the growth and prosperity of the community, TUA and Tullahoma City Schools have come together to invest in the future of Tullahoma's students. This partnership underscores TUA's dedication to supporting the educational advancement of local students and Tullahoma City Schools' mission to provide practical experiences and career development opportunities.
As part of this initiative, TUA will offer co-op positions to students from Tullahoma City Schools who are interested in gaining practical experience in utility operations. These positions will provide hands-on learning experiences, mentorship, and exposure to various aspects of utility management and operations, all while allowing students to earn high school credits.
In addition, TUA will allocate $25,000 annually to fund scholarships for graduating seniors from Tullahoma City Schools. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic merit, financial need, and demonstrated interest in fields relevant to TUA's operations, such as engineering, environmental science, and utility management.
