Tullahoma Wildcats Win McMinnville Golf Tournament

On Tuesday at the McMinnville Country Club, the annual Keith Maxwell High School golf tournament took place.

In the boys' team competition, the Tullahoma Wildcats with a score of 314. The Cookeville Cavilers finished second with a score of 320. Placing third was Eagleville with a 330, and Coffee County Red Raiders came in fourth with a score of 331. Thirteen teams participated in the tournament.

In individual play, Alex Miller of Tullahoma finished first with a round of 74. Kason Watson of Cookville and Jack Stowe from Coffee County tied for second with 77s.

Other individual scores for the champion Wildcat were Keegan Taylor, 79, Jack Hill, 80, and Hunter Hogan, 81. Other scores for the CC Raiders were Noah Costello, 81, Levi Rossman, 84, and Jackson Phillips, 89. For Franklin County, Garrett Patterson carded an 83, and Brady Hall shot 84 for the two lowest scores for the Rebels. Another local team competing was the Warren County Pioneers, led by Noel Davis and Hayven Jones with 80 each.

In girls’ play, Eagleville and DeKalb County tied for first with a team score of 170. Eagleville was awarded the first in a scorecard playoff. The Cookeville Lady Cavs finished third with a score of 180.

In individual scores, Chole Boyd finished first with a score of 77. Locally, Tullahoma’s Myla Dennis (5th) shot a round of 87. Coffee County Lady Raider Leah Kate Sullivan carded a 98, and her teammate Karsyn Riddle shot 118.
