On Sunday night, two people were injured after a 2024 Ford F-350 struck a cow that was walking in a roadway in Franklin County.
According to a report from THP, a 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander traveling behind the Ford and struck the cow lying in the roadway and went airborne.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), the crash happened in the westbound lanes of Highway 64 near Playmor Road at approximately 9:49 p.m. on Sunday, July 28.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said the Mitsubishi lost control and ended up in the median. Both the 35-year-old driver and 40-year-old passenger were taken to a local hospital to be treated for what officials described as “non-life-threatening injuries.”
