ARNOLD AIR FORCE BASE, Tenn. – Two are dead after an automobile wreck
Friday on Wattendorf Memorial Highway.
The wreck occurred near the Arnold AFB Golf Course at approximately 5
a.m. The deceased individuals were not affiliated with Arnold AFB.
“Our hearts go out to the families and friends of those affected by
this tragic mishap,” said Col. Grant Mizell, Arnold Engineering
Development Complex commander. AEDC is headquartered at Arnold AFB.
The highway was closed during the response and investigation until
approximately 9:15 a.m.
Response coordination and investigation for the wreck included Arnold
AFB emergency services, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Coffee County
Emergency Medical Services and the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office.
