The Tullahoma Wildcats swept their first District 8-AAA series over Franklin County and
extended their winning streak to nine games with an 8-3 victory over the Rebels Tuesday at
Grider Stadium. On Monday, Tullahoma beat the Rebels 4-0 at the Gamble Sports Complex in
Winchester.
The Wildcats (2-0, 9-6) have won those nine straight after opening the season with six
consecutive losses. The Rebels (0-2, 5-7) struggled to scratch out hits against the Cats, not
scoring for the first 12 innings of the two games.
Mason Bratcher (3-0) was once again dominant over the opposition. Coming off a one-hit near-perfect game performance last week. Bratcher scattered a pair of hits but didn’t allow a run and struck out eight. Hunter Hogan pitched the final two innings.
Bratcher was also 3-4 at the plate and scored two runs. Leadoff hitter Hogan was the catalyst
for the Wildcat offense, reaching base four times and scoring three runs. Baylan Tuten had two
hits for the Cats, and Andrew Fulmer reached twice.
Tullahoma will play in the Viking Classic Tournament this weekend before returning to district
play Monday when they host Giles County at 6pm on 93.9 The Duck.
