Even though they were down 2-1 in the top of the fifth inning, the Coffee County Middle School Raiders took the victory away from Warren County on Friday.
August Lynch got things started when he singled home two runs, and the Raiders pulled away for an 8-2 victory.
Coffee County tallied four runs in the seventh inning to secure the win. Kasen Shores and Jaxon Pruitt drove in runs in the frame.
Lynch started the game on the hill for the Raiders. He only surrendered two runs on one hit over three and a third innings, striking out six. Leiton Yancer threw three and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Lynch, Shores, Boone Floyd, and Grayson Sadler each collected one hit to lead Coffee County.

The Coffee County High School Lady Raiders took their first loss of the season on Friday in the Warrior Classic in Murfreesboro. The Lady Raiders fell to Carterville, Illinois, 5-3 in six innings as the game was called due to the time limit.
Paisley Campbell led Coffee County with two hits in three at-bats, and Kaitlyn Davis had a hit and two RBI.
The Lady Raiders are back in action on Saturday morning, weather permitting, at 8 and 10 AM.

CCMS Lady Raiders dropped their game against Warren County Middle, falling 8-0.
Madi Scott, Maggie Montgomery, Briley Jernigan, and Kaylee Buckley managed one hit each for Coffee Middle.
