Raiders fall in Warrior Classic back to District 6-4A play on Monday

The Coffee County Red Raiders struggled to get their offense going on Friday, falling to New Trier Trevians from Northfield, IL, 13-4.

Trevians-Varsity opened up scoring in the second inning, when AJ Steinbeck lined out, driving in a run.

Cole Pippenger, Jacob Sherrill, Nolan Jernigan, Aiden Robertson, and Cole Bryce each collected one hit to lead Coffee County.

Coffee County effort to come back from down five runs in the sixth inning came up just short, as they fell 6-4 to Fishers Indiana Tigers on Friday. The Raiders scored three runs in the final inning.

Brendon Sheppard led the Red Raiders with three hits in three at bats. Coffee County is back in action on Monday as they travel to Shelbyville for district action. Gametime is 6 p.m. and Rooster 101.5 FM will be on the air at 5:50 p.m.
