Raiders look Sharp in District Win over Lawrence County

The Coffee County High School Baseball Red Raiders hosted Lawrence County on Tuesday at Powers Field and picked up an important 6-2 District 8-AAA win.

The Raiders hit the ball very well as the had 11 hits led by Jacob Holder and Braden Brown with 2 hits each. Starting Pitcher Griffin Meeker helped his own cause with a triple, RBI and a scored a run. Brady Nugent added a double and 2 RBI.

Meeker went the distance on the mound allowing 6 hits, no earned runs and struck out 6 Wildcat batters.

The win improves Coffee County to 10-4 overall and 5-2 in district play. The two teams will play each on Wednesday in Lawrenceburg and tickets will be sold at the gate.
