Coffee County got a big night from Sophomore running back Konor Heaton as he had 120 yards rushing on 19 carries and two touchdowns as the Raiders defeated Maplewood 37-20. Heaton scored on runs of 1 and 7 yards.
Quarterback Connor Shemwell had a 1-yard TD run and had touchdown pass to Kelvin Verge. Tailback Marshall Haney, who did not start because of an injury, ripped off a 49-yard run in the second half.
Coffee County had 415 yards total offense, including 308 on the ground.
The win improved Coffee County to 4-3 on the season. Maplewood dropped to 0-3. The 4 wins is the most wins for the Raiders since the 2007 team that also won four.
