Recoveries and New COVID-19 Almost Even on Monday–Mask Mandate for Rutherford County

The Tennessee Department of Health has confirmed additional cases of COVID-19 across the state on Monday, July 20. The health department reported 1,639 new cases, bringing the state to 79,754 total cases.

Tennessee’s seven-day new cases average now sits at 2,069 additional cases per day.

TDH also confirmed four additional deaths, bringing Tennessee up to 847 total deaths.

Out of the confirmed positive cases, 45,974 have recovered, an increase of 1,655 recoveries. This is the first day in around 3 weeks that recoveries outnumbered new cases. Currently Tennessee has 32,933 active cases.

*Bedford County: 10 died; 688 confirmed/probable cases; 530 recovered; 148 active cases

*Coffee County: 0 died: 205 confirmed/probable cases; 126 recovered; 79 active cases

*Franklin County: 3 died; 164 confirmed/probable; 86 recovered; 75 active cases

*Grundy County: 2 died; 72 confirmed/probable; 58 recovered; 12 active cases

*Lincoln County: 0 died; 143 confirmed/probable; 64 recovered; 79 active cases

*Moore County: 0 died; 32 confirmed/probable; 13 recovered; 19 active cases

*Rutherford County: 41 died; 4,618 confirmed/probable; 2,031 recovered; 2,546 active cases. A mask wearing mandate has been issued by Rutherford County Mayor Bill Ketron. This begins on Wednesday.

*Warren County: 3 died; 222 confirmed/probable; 74 recovered; 145 active cases
