Restaurant owners have been waiting for around month to reopen after the Covid-19 pandemic reduced their operations. Gov. Lee said Thursday Tennessee restaurants will be allowed to open Monday for dine-in service with reduced capacity.
Lee also announced that retail stores will be permitted to reopen on Wednesday.
Both types of businesses must initially limit the number of customers to 50% of their regular capacity.
On Friday morning, the governor will make other announcements about the reopening strategy.
