SEC sets Men’s Basketball Opponents for 2021-22

The Southeastern Conference has released the conference opponents for the 2021-22 men’s basketball season.

As has been the case since the 2015-16 season each team will play an 18 game SEC schedule. Every team will face the other thirteen league members at least once (home or road) while playing five other teams in home and home series. Three of those home and home feature permanent rivals while the other two home and home series rotate on an annual basis. The league schedule concludes with the 2022 SEC Tournament March 9-13th in Tampa Florida. Seeding for the tournament is based on the league rankings 1-14 with no divisions.

Tennessee will play home and home series with LSU, Arkansas, Kentucky, South Carolina and Vanderbilt. LSU and Arkansas rotate onto the schedule for 21-22 while Kentucky, South Carolina and Vanderbilt are the Vols three annual home-and-home opponents.

Tennessee will host Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt. They’ll visit Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, South Carolina and Vanderbilt.

Vanderbilt will take on Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina in home-and-home series with Alabama, LSU, Missouri and Texas A&M also scheduled to visit Memorial Gym. In addition to the home-and-home opponents, the Commodores will take SEC road trips to Arkansas, Auburn, Ole Miss and Mississippi State.

Exact dates and tip off times for the conference schedule will be announced later.
