Slight Changes in County Unemployment Rates

New state numbers show that the unemployment rate for December decreased in 12 counties, increased in 55 counties and remained unchanged in 28 counties.
Coffee County’s unemployment rate for December was 3.2 percent, up slightly from November’s 3.1.
Warren County stayed the same at 3.7 percent. Bedford County also stayed the same at 3.4 percent.
Franklin County’s employment rate rose to 3.4 percent in December. The rate was 3.3 in November.
Moore County went up after a 2.6 percent unemployment rate in November to 2.9 in December.
Rutherford County went down from 2.4 to 2.3 percent.
Grundy County went from 3.9 to 3.8 percent and Cannon County went from 2.8 to 2.7 percent.
Williamson County had the state’s lowest unemployment rate at 2.2 percent. Lincoln and Clay Counties had the highest at 6.2 percent.
