Some Shelbyville residents have been warned to boil their water before using it.
The Shelbyville water system has experienced a significant loss of water pressure in the Flat Creek area due to a lack of water supply at the Lake Elaine Road booster station.
The Shelbyville water system is asking customers on the following roads to boil water before using it for consumption: Bottle Hollow, Elijah Parker, Ferrar, Glendale, Hart, Hilltop, Joe Hart, Kincaid, Lakey Lane, Mount Herman, Mullins Hollow Road, Noblitt, Possum Trot, Ward Hollow, Womack Ridge, Womble, as well as three residences on Highway 82 South. The Shelbyville Water system anticipates solving the problem within 72 hours.
