Tennessee’s State Board of Education issued emergency rules for schools on Thursday. These new guidelines are for the 2019-20 academic year.
In order to graduate, this year’s seniors must have 20 credits as of March 20, 2020.
High school seniors will not be required to take the ACT or SAT to graduate. Teachers whose licenses were expiring in August will have an additional year to renew.
The biggest question remains, is school being cancelled for the remainder of this academic year? The answer for now is no, as that decision must be made by Gov. Lee.
