The North Coffee County Volunteer Fire Department were called to a structure fire at 3 a.m. Wednesday morning. The fire was reported to be a barn with homes in the area.
Other volunteer departments responded to assist at the scene near the 1500 block of Crews Hollow Road. Upon arrival firefighters determined the structure was empty and initiated an exterior attack.
It is unclear at this time how the fire began. An investigation is being conducted.
