Tennessee Basketball Continues SEC Play this Weekend

The Tennessee basketball teams return to the hardwood this weekend in a pair of games you can hear on The Rooster 101.5!

24th ranked Tennessee looks for revenge Saturday evening when they host no. 13 LSU. The Tigers knocked off the Vols in Baton Rouge 79-67 in their first meeting this season January the 8th. Tari Easton paced LSU with 24 points while Kennedy Chandler led UT with 19.

Tennessee is coming off of a 68-60-win Tuesday at Vanderbilt, while LSU lost 70-67 at Alabama Wednesday night.

Tipoff from Thompson-Boiling Arena in Knoxville is set for 5:00, with Vol Network pregame coverage set to begin at 4:30 on 101.5 FM.

Sunday the 5th ranked Lady Vols (17-1,6-0) return after a week off to battle no 13 Georgia (8-2, 4-2) in a battle of long time SEC rivals in their lone meeting of the season.

Last time out on Sunday January 9th the Lady Vols topped Ole Miss for their sixth straight win. Georgia has also been off since last Sunday having edged Alabama 72-68.

Tip off from Stegman Coliseum in Athens Georgia is set for 1:00 and Lady Vol Network pregame coverage begins at 12:30 Sunday on The Rooster.

Will is a Middle Tennessee native having been born and raised in Winchester. His love of radio began as a child listening to local stations on the way to school or while falling asleep at night. After High School, where he was active in student media, he attended the University of Tennessee majoring in Journalism and Electronic Media while covering sports for the campus radio station. He then moved into the business professionally as a board op/producer for Cumulus of Knoxville and the Vol Network. His radio journey then took him to Louisiana where he was the lead producer for ESPN New Orleans. After returning home to Winchester, he spent several years broadcasting local sports for stations in Franklin County before joining the Bowman Family. When he’s not at the station, Will enjoys spending time with his wife Shaina and his two fur babies (Toulouse and Belle), cheering on the Vols, Preds and Saints and in the kitchen or behind the grill trying out new recipes.
