Yesterday, was the first official date to play matches in high school sports as golf action teed off .
The Tullahoma Wildcats, Franklin County Rebels and the Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles took the course at the Lawrenceburg Invitational Tournament.
In boys play, the Wildcats finished in 6th place overall with a score of 347, one stroke better than the Golden Eagles.
In girls action, Tullahoma finished second with a solid 154. Mallory Tevrucht fired the low round of 74. Franklin County finished with a total of 232 on the day. The Coffee County Red Raiders will start their season on Thursday.
