On Tuesday, February 28th, 2023, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department apprehended Henry Dwayne Thompson and Teresa Baker on numerous theft charges.
A Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy initiated a traffic stop, and the driver refused to stop the vehicle for a short distance. Upon stopping the vehicle, the two suspects fled on foot. The Sheriff’s Department K-9 Handlers, with their dogs, responded, and after a brief foot pursuit, the two were taken into custody.
The two subjects had been suspected of numerous thefts in Madison County, Giles County, and Lincoln County. Deputies and Investigators had been aggressively searching for the pair as they avoided capture by darting between counties and state lines. The two are suspected in stealing trailers, campers, and vehicles from all three counties. Three vehicles, two trailers, and a camper have been recovered in Lincoln County.
Both individuals are currently being held without bond.
