Three Vehicle Crash Ends with Two Deaths

A head-on crash collision that involved three vehicles cost the life of two area residents on Sunday night.

The crash occurred around 6:45 p.m. on the Wattendorf Memorial Highway at Grady Finney Road near AEDC in Coffee County.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, 62-year-old James Shaw, of Estill Springs was driving a 2016 Dodge Ram 150 truck northbound behind a 2009 Honda Odyssey minivan driven 56-year-old James Pha of Murfreesboro. Shaw’s truck hit the rear of the minivan and swerved to the left, crossed the center line and struck Hillsboro resident 68 year-old Dorothy Scott’s 2011 Chevy HHR head-on.

Shaw and Scott were killed in accident, Pha was not injured, but a passenger in Shaw’ truck, 36 year-old Jheri Taylor was injured. THP did not report on the extent of the injury.
