As Governor Lee Reopens State, Order made for 5 Million Cloth Masks

As everyone knows, Tennessee Gov Bill Lee announced plans to reopen the state, but now plans are being made to order 5 million cloth masks to distribute to residents. *Note around 7 million people live in Tennessee, with 5 million being adults.

Commissioner Stuart McWhorter, who heads Gov. Lee’s COVID-19 Unified Command, revealed the plan during a conference call with members of the Tennessee General Assembly.

McWhorter said that wearing a mask will be encouraged, but no plan was discussed about how the masks will be distributed.

State leaders are planning to give a “more robust guidance” early next week.
