Nissan Continues Shutdown

Nissan manufacturing facilities will remain closed for the most part until mid-May, due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier this month, Nissan announced its manufacturing facilities be closed through the end of April.

In Tennessee, the continued downtime affects 9,000 workers at Nissan’s Smyrna and Decherd facilities.

Business-essential work at the plants will continue, with enhanced safety measures.
