Tornado Confirmed in Lincoln County on May 8

The National Weather Service confirms that a tornado touched down in Lincoln County during the May 8 outbreak.

The National Weather Service says an EF-1 tornado with 105-mile-per-hour winds touched down northeast of Ardmore and traveled more than six miles, ending southwest of Fayetteville, according to the NWS. Its path width was 1.5 times the size of a football field.

Four other tornadoes have been confirmed from May 8, including Maury County, Robertson County, Giles County, and Rutherford County.
