Great Smoky Mountains National Park has closed Twin Creeks Trail and issued a “bear warning” for Fighting Creek Nature Trail, Gatlinburg Trail, and Cove Mountail Trail.
Black bears seek areas for shelter in preparation for cold weather to create a den. Since they can be “dangerous and unpredictable,” the park warns visitors not to approach bears or allow them to approach you.
