Honors are rolling in for Tennessee after they manhandled Missouri Saturday.
Vols quarterback Hendon Hooker who tallied 225 yards passing, another 80 on the ground and 4 total touchdowns to lead the charge in UT’s blitzkrieg of the Tigers was named the Manning Award Star of the Week. Hooker was also named a College Football Performance Awards Honorable Mention National Performer of the Week.
The SEC has named Tennessee’s Cade Mayes it’s offensive lineman of the week and Vol running back Len’Neth Whitehead the freshman of the week.
Mayes and the rest of the Tennessee offensive line paved the way for 683 yards of total offense, 458 of that on the ground, in the Vols 62-24 win at Missouri.
Whitehead had 76 yards on 9 carries and a 10-yard reception for 86 all purpose yards in Tennessee’s romp of Mizzou.
