Last Thursday, according to warrants, Tennessee Highway Patrolman Matthew Parsley initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle with extremely dark window tint in Coffee County.
After receiving consent to conduct a search of the vehicle, Trooper Parsley recovered a large quantity in small plastic baggies that allegedly held 193 grams of methamphetamine. Kentrell Southern of Cowan, TN, and James Waters of Nashville, TN, were arrested.
Southern and Waters were charged with manufacturing/sale/delivery/possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and uses.
Waters was also charged with driving while in possession of methamphetamine. Southern was additionally charged with the institution of contraband in a penal institution. The warrant states that he was found to be in possession of one Hydrocodone pill while being booked in at the Coffee County Jail. Their court date is set for December 14.
