Game One:

Stephens’s Walk-Off Picture Perfect Ending In Reds’s Victory Over Jacobs

Reds defeated Jacobs 7-6 on Tuesday thanks to a walk-off single. The game was tied at six with Reds batting in the bottom of the sixth when Cody Stephens singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Both offenses were strong at the plate as Reds collected nine hits and Jacobs seven in the high-scoring affair.

Jacobs got things started in the first inning. Rick Miller drove in one when he singled.

Reds notched three runs in the fifth inning. Reds big bats were led by Travis Tikell and Grey Alexander, who all drove in runs.

Tikell earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for the Reds. He lasted one inning, allowing zero hits and zero runs while walking one. Tyler Legeune threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Brian Edwards took the loss for Jacobs. He allowed one hit and one run over one-third of an inning, striking out one.

Joe Seabolt started the game for Jacobs. He surrendered six runs on eight hits over five innings, striking out seven. Tyler Wright started the game for Reds. He lasted four innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out two and walking one.

Reds racked up nine hits. Jay PhillipsAlexander, and Stephens each had multiple hits for the RedsStephensAlexander, and Phillips each managed two hits to lead Reds.

Jacobs racked up seven hits in the game. Larry Southern and John Mcinturff all had multiple hits for Jacobs.

Game Two:

Two Pitchers Team Up As Royals Shut Out White Sox

Royals defeated White Sox 11-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Tylar Prosser struck out Ryan Rippy to finish off the game.

Josh Nave led the Royals to victory by driving in four runs. He went 2-for-4 at the plate. Nave drove in runs on a home run in the first, a fielder’s choice in the first, and a home run in the fourth.

In the first inning, Royals got their offense started when Nave hit a solo homer.

A single by Shandon Hill in the first inning was a positive for White Sox.

Joe Long led things off on the hill for Royals. He allowed two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking one.

Cale Greenway toed the rubber for the White Sox. He allowed seven hits and six runs over one inning, striking out one and walking zero. Hill threw two and two-thirds innings in relief.

Royals launched three home runs on the day. Nave had a four bagger in the first and fourth innings. Long had a dinger in the second inning.

Royals tallied 13 hits in the game. Chris EwingJJ WebsterClark CardenDerrick ReeseLong, and Nave each had multiple hits for RoyalsNaveLongReeseCardenWebster, and Ewing each collected two hits to lead Royals.
