As heard on 93.9 The Duck Tullahoma softball battled hard vs Marshall County on senior night but came up short 5-2. Falling behind 2-0 after a pair of errors in the first the Lady Cats had the tying or go ahead runs on the bases three time throughout the night but couldn’t get the timely hits needed to complete the comeback.
Freshman catcher Kylee Holt was 4-4 with a double and RBI to lead Tullahoma offensively. Carlie Baker the lone senior on the team went 1-3 at the plate.
Katy Bean went the distance in the circle for the Lady Cats allowing five runs, three of them earned, on ten hits, one walk and no strikeouts.
Tullahoma falls to 1-18 overall and 1-8 in district play. They close out the regular season Friday at 6:30 at Spring Hill.
Wildcats drop series finale at Spring Hill
Tullahoma baseball fell 4-3 to Spring Hill to split the series and close out district play for 2022
The Raiders scored the winning run on a walk off single by Cole Taylor in the bottom of the 7th.
The loss drops Tullahoma to 16-12 overall and they finish 4-5 in district play.
The Wildcats will host senior night Friday vs Community at 6:30, they visit Shelbyville Saturday at 2:00 and close out the regular season Monday night vs Nolensville at 6:00, you can hear that game LIVE on 93.9 The Duck with pregame coverage set for 5:50 p.m.
