Tullahoma baseball picks up win versus Marshall County

Tullahoma Wildcats took home a 7-4 victory over Marshall County on Friday. 

Marshall County got things moving in the first inning. Caleb McElhaney drove in one when McElhaney doubled. 

Tullahoma Wildcats knotted the game up at three in the bottom of the third inning, when DJ Dillehay singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. 

Tullahoma pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth an error scored one run for Tullahoma and Evan Tomlin grounded out, scoring one run. 

Tullahoma Wildcats notched three runs in the third inning. Jaxon Sheffield and Dillehay all contributed in the big inning with RBIs. 

Tomlin got the start for Tullahoma. Tomlin lasted five innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out nine and walking one. 

Christian Stacey led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Marshall County. The bulldog allowed five hits and seven runs over six innings, striking out three. 

Dillehay led Tullahoma with two hits in three at bats. 

Blake Moreland went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Marshall County in hits.
