Tullahoma Baseball, Softball fall in District Tournament Action Monday

The Page Patriots rallied from down 6-0 to stun the Tullahoma Wildcats 7-6 on a walk off stolen base in the bottom of the 7thin the winners bracket final of the District 8-3A tournament Monday at Lincoln County High School in Fayetteville.

Tullahoma took the first lead of the game with a 6 run third inning highlighted by a 3-run Home Run by Brody Melton.

Page rallied in the 5th as they tagged reliever Wade Collins for four runs to close the gap to 6-5. They tied the game with back to back doubles to lead off the bottom of the 7th.  Then with runners on the corners and one out the patriots induced a run down between second and first allowing the runner at third to steal home for the walk off victory.

The loss drops the Wildcats into the losers’ bracket where they will try to extend their season and earn a rematch with Page in the tournament finals when they face Lawrence County this evening at 5:00 at Lincoln County High School. 93.9 The Duck will bring you the game LIVE starting at 4:50 p.m. You can also steam the game on 939theduck.com and The 93.9 Duck App.

Lady Cats season ends with loss to Lawrence County

Tullahoma softball’s season came to a close Monday night as they fell 12-1 Lawrence County in the losers’ bracket of the District 8-3A Tournament at Page High School in Franklin.

The young Lady Cats close the 2022 season 2-20 overall and will look to grown on the experience gained in 2022 in the off season. Tullahoma had just one senior Carlie Baker on the team this spring and numerous freshman and sophomores in starting roles this season.

Will is a Middle Tennessee native having been born and raised in Winchester. His love of radio began as a child listening to local stations on the way to school or while falling asleep at night. After High School, where he was active in student media, he attended the University of Tennessee majoring in Journalism and Electronic Media while covering sports for the campus radio station. He then moved into the business professionally as a board op/producer for Cumulus of Knoxville and the Vol Network. His radio journey then took him to Louisiana where he was the lead producer for ESPN New Orleans. After returning home to Winchester, he spent several years broadcasting local sports for stations in Franklin County before joining the Bowman Family. When he’s not at the station, Will enjoys spending time with his wife Shaina and his two fur babies (Toulouse and Belle), cheering on the Vols, Preds and Saints and in the kitchen or behind the grill trying out new recipes.
