Tullahoma baseball sweeps series versus Columbia Central

Tullahoma Wildcats wins contest against Columbia Central, 5-1.

Tullahoma Wildcats got on the board in the first inning. Tullahoma scored one run when Brody Melton doubled. 

In the bottom of the third inning, Columbia Central tied things up at one. Konner Bowden doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run. 

Tullahoma pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning. In the fourth Jayron Morris singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. 

Joseph Duncan earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Tullahoma. The righthander surrendered one run on two hits over seven innings, striking out seven. 

Caden Czajka took the loss for Columbia Central. The bulldog went three innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out two. 

Tullahoma Wildcats scattered eight hits in the game. DJ Dillehay, Colton Emory, and Melton each collected multiple hits for the Wildcats. Dillehay went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Tullahoma in hits. 

Bowden led Columbia Central with two hits in three at bats. Columbia Central was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Lincoln English made the most plays with eight.
