Tullahoma baseball sweeps White County in doubleheader

Game 1

Brody Melton didn’t allow a single run against White County, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Tullahoma Wildcats to a 11-0 victory on Saturday. 

One bright spot for White County was a single by Hayden Wetherington in the second inning. 

Melton was credited with the victory for Tullahoma. The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out five and walking zero. 

Jacob Smith took the loss for White County. Smith went two and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs on six hits, striking out one and walking one. Tullahoma Wildcats totaled nine hits. Joseph Duncan and Melton all managed multiple hits for Tullahoma. Melton and Duncan each managed two hits to lead Tullahoma Wildcats. 

Wetherington led White County with one hit in two at bats.

Game 2

Tullahoma Wildcats beat White County 7-2 on Saturday. 

Bobby Nichols got the win for Tullahoma. Nichols surrendered two runs on five hits over five innings, striking out five. Jaxon Sheffield threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. 

Dylan Nelson took the loss for White County. The hurler lasted two and a third innings, allowing four hits and five runs while striking out two. 

Tullahoma Wildcats totaled seven hits. Jayron Morris, Colton Emory, and Ragan Tomlin all managed multiple hits for Tullahoma. Tomlin, Emory, and Morris each managed two hits to lead Tullahoma. Tullahoma Wildcats stole eight bases during the game as two players stole more than one. DJ Dillehay led the way with three. Tullahoma Wildcats was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Morris made the most plays with ten. 

White County had five hits in the game. Tucker Allen and Jack Guy each collected multiple hits for White County.
