Tullahoma basketball sweeps Marshall County, remains perfect in district play.

The Tullahoma basketball teams swept Marshall County at home Friday Night to both improve to 2-0 in district play.

In the girls game the Lady Cats cruised past an undermanned Tigerettes team 55-7. Eleanor Fults led Tullahoma with 16 points and Alaisha Bowen came off the bench to add in 11.  Mashawna Ridley posted 4 points to lead the way for Marshall County.

The Victory improves the Lady Cats with 11-4 on the season and 2-0 in 8-AAA play.

In the nightcap the Wildcats held off a late push from the Tigers to pick up a 51-46 win.

Brody Melton posted 14 to lead Tullahoma offensively. Krys Uselton added in 11. Both hit several big free throws late to help seal the win.

Marshall County’s Jamal Gentry paced all scorers in the game with 15 points.

The cats are now 5-10 overall and 2-0 in district 8-AAA action.

Tullahoma continues their tour through the new look 8-AAA with a trip to Lawrence County on Tuesday and Page on Friday.

The next broadcast in the Coffee County Bank Basketball Showcase is set for Tuesday January 25th when Tullahoma host Lincoln County. High School basketball coverage on the Bowman-On Target Marketing family of stations continues Friday January 21st when Coffee County visits Franklin County as a part of the Dr David Florence Showcase on The Rooster 101.5.

Will Rabb

Will is a Middle Tennessee native having been born and raised in Winchester. His love of radio began as a child listening to local stations on the way to school or while falling asleep at night. After High School, where he was active in student media, he attended the University of Tennessee majoring in Journalism and Electronic Media while covering sports for the campus radio station. He then moved into the business professionally as a board op/producer for Cumulus of Knoxville and the Vol Network. His radio journey then took him to Louisiana where he was the lead producer for ESPN New Orleans. After returning home to Winchester, he spent several years broadcasting local sports for stations in Franklin County before joining the Bowman Family. When he’s not at the station, Will enjoys spending time with his wife Shaina and his two fur babies (Toulouse and Belle), cheering on the Vols, Preds and Saints and in the kitchen or behind the grill trying out new recipes.
