The Tullahoma Wildcat and Lady Cat golf teams both picked up district wins Thursday at Lakewood Country Club.
Brody Fulmer shot a 44 to lead the Wildcats to victory as the team totaled 187 in the 9-hole match. Boston Boyce led Shelbyville with 45 as the Gold Eagles came in second just three shots behind the cats with a team total of 190. Chase Towry shot the low score for the match with a 41 but Franklin County finished 12 shots off the lead in third with a 199.
In the girls match Gracie Hicks shot a 37 to lead Tullahoma past Franklin County 91-104. Amelia Maxon and Savanah Pendergraff each shot a 52 for the Rebelettes.
“I am very proud of the overall attitude of both our Wildcat teams, perseverance comes to mind.” Tullahoma Golf Coach Barry Bishop said. Dealing with adversity is definitely part of maturing as a competitive player, and we are for sure getting experience dealing with these distractions.”
Tullahoma golf is back on the links Monday afternoon as they face Coffee County at Willowbrook at 1:00.
