Tullahoma Looking to Bounce Back at Lincoln County

After seeing their nine game winning streak come to an end Friday night vs Page the Tullahoma Lady Wildcats will look to bounce back and score another big district win at Lincoln County Tuesday night.

In Friday’s contest a cold shooting performance and turnovers put the Lady Cats in a twelve point hole at halftime. Tullahoma outscored Page in the 2nd half 26-22 and pulling as close as two but the Lady Patriots came up with a few timely baskets to hold on for a 48-40 win. Lilly Melton paced the Lady Cats for the second straight game with 12 points while Alivia Bowen added 10. The loss dropped Tullahoma to 12-8 overall and 3-1 in district play.  Lincoln County raced past Spring Hill 71-24 Friday to remain undefeated in 8-3A and topped Cascade Saturday 66-45 to improve to 18-2 on the season. Tip off in Fayetteville is set for 6:00

The Tullahoma Wildcats are looking to bounce back as well after another hard fought defeat Friday 48-36 vs Page.  Turnovers again proved to be the difference in the game as Page was able to cash in several at key times to expand their lead in a game that was closer throughout then the 12 point margin of victory. Xavier Ferrell turned in one of his best performances of the season leading the Wildcats with 14 points. Tullahoma, now 5-14 overall and 0-4 in the district turns its attention to Lincoln County who is struggling as well a season after winning the district championship and reaching the region semifinals. The Falcons who fell 80-73 vs Spring Hill Friday and 71-50 to Cascade Saturday enter Tuesday’s contest 3-13 overall and 0-4 in the district. Tip off is set for 7:30. Will is a Middle Tennessee native having been born and raised in Winchester. His love of radio began as a child listening to local stations on the way to school or while falling asleep at night. After High School, where he was active in student media, he attended the University of Tennessee majoring in Journalism and Electronic Media while covering sports for the campus radio station. He then moved into the business professionally as a board op/producer for Cumulus of Knoxville and the Vol Network. His radio journey then took him to Louisiana where he was the lead producer for ESPN New Orleans. After returning home to Winchester, he spent several years broadcasting local sports for stations in Franklin County before joining the Bowman Family. When he’s not at the station, Will enjoys spending time with his wife Shaina and his two fur babies (Toulouse and Belle), cheering on the Vols, Preds and Saints and in the kitchen or behind the grill trying out new recipes.
