Tullahoma takes pair of game from Franklin County.

As heard on 93.9 The Duck as a part of the Coffee County Bank basketball showcase, Tullahoma swept the night from rival Franklin County Tuesday. (Listen to the replay here)

In the girls game the Lady Cats had three players in double figures led by Morgan Carr with 12 (Eleanor Fults and Lucy Nutt added in 10 each) and they were able to hold off a scrappy Rebelettes team 50-42, for their 4th straight victory. Franklin County’s Katie Walker led all scorers in the contest with 14 points. With the win the Lady Cats improve to 9-4 on the season, the Rebelettes fell to 7-6.

In the nightcap the Wildcats were able to survive a late surge from the Rebels to grab the 47-41 win snapping a 3-game skid. Joe Duncan paced Tullahoma with 11 points. Jacob Dixon also finished in double figures with 10 points. KeAndre Johnson and Taylor Stovall led Franklin County in scoring with 10 points each. The win moves the Cats to 3-10 overall while the Rebels dropped to 9-7.

Tullahoma is scheduled to host Cleveland on Thursday, the girls game tips off at 6:00 with the boys to follow at 7:30. Franklin County will visit Warren County Friday, girls at 6:00 and boys to follow at 7:30.

The next game in the Coffee County Bank Basketball showcase is Friday January 14th when Tullahoma host new District 8-AAA foe Marshall County. Coverage on 93.9 The Duck begins at 5:50. Wildcat fans can also stream the game on 939theduck.com and the 93.9 The Duck App.

After High School, where he was active in student media, he attended the University of Tennessee majoring in Journalism and Electronic Media while covering sports for the campus radio station. He then moved into the business professionally as a board op/producer for Cumulus of Knoxville and the Vol Network. His radio journey then took him to Louisiana where he was the lead producer for ESPN New Orleans. After returning home to Winchester, he spent several years broadcasting local sports for stations in Franklin County before joining the Bowman Family. When he’s not at the station, Will enjoys spending time with his wife Shaina and his two fur babies (Toulouse and Belle), cheering on the Vols, Preds and Saints and in the kitchen or behind the grill trying out new recipes.
