Two Injured in Plane Crash in Unionville

A small plane crashed near Unionville on Tuesday evening according to the Bedford county 911 director.

Director Phillip Noel told WSMV-TV that an ultralight aircraft with two people on board went down along tree line in a field on Hopkins Bridge Road in Unionville.

One was reported to have minor injuries while the other passenger had to be flown to an undisclosed hospital. No one on the ground was injured in the crash.

After returning home to Winchester, he spent several years broadcasting local sports for stations in Franklin County before joining the Bowman Family. When he’s not at the station, Will enjoys spending time with his wife Shaina and his two fur babies (Toulouse and Belle), cheering on the Vols, Preds and Saints and in the kitchen or behind the grill trying out new recipes.
