The Coffee County Lady Raiders playing in the Warrior Classic in Murfreesboro took on Florence, AL on Friday afternoon. With the game tied at 2 in the bottom of the 6th Brianna Shelton delivered the big hit of the game with a singled in Riley Phillips for the go-ahead and winning run. Shelton had two hits, the RBI and scored a run to lead the offense in the 3-2 win.
Emily Schuster was strong in relief to get credit for the win. Haidyn Campbell only allowed 2 hits and 2 runs in the start.
Next up for the Lady Raiders was White House-Heritage and the offense exploded for 12 runs. Justus Turner was red-hot at the plate as she went 3 for 3, including her first homer of the season in the 12-0 win. Turner knocked in 4 and scored 2 more. Chesnie Cox and Haidyn Campbell added offensive power. Cox was had 2 hits, 2 RBI and scored a run. Campbell contributed 2 hits, 1 RBI and she scored 2 runs.
Keri Munn was the winning pitcher, going 4 innings and allowed no runs and just 2 hits. The Lady Raiders are now 10-0 on the season.
