Two More Wins; Lady Raiders Earn Championship in South Carolina

On Wednesday afternoon in the Carolina Invitational in Charleston, S.C. the Coffee County Lady Raiders blew away Worthington, Ohio 60-29.

Senior Elli Chumley led the way with 13 points. Kiya Ferrell and Jalie Ruehling added 10 each.

In what had to be the earliest ever start to a Coffee County ladies basketball game with tipoff occurring at 7 a.m. central the Lady Raiders earned the championship trophy.

In their closest game in the tournament Coffee County won their 10th game in a row (13-3) as they defeated Cabell Midland, WV 38-31 on Thursday morning.

Alivia Reel played big for the Lady Raiders, both on offense and defense. Reel led her team with 11 points to go along with several rebounds and multiple steals. Chloe Gannon had a big second half as she scored all of her 8 points in the final two quarters.

Elli Chumley was named Carolina Invitational MVP.
